Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Adventure Pal, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Adventure Pal.

Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription Options:

Adventure Pal offers the following subscription options:

• Monthly Subscription: $4.99/month - Unlimited adventures, automatically renews monthly
• Annual Subscription: $49.99/year - Unlimited adventures, automatically renews annually (Save 17%)
• Single Adventure Purchase: $2.99 - One-time consumable purchase for a single adventure credit

Auto-Renewal:

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Managing Subscriptions:

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device settings:

iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Adventure Pal

Refunds:

All purchases are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple. Adventure Pal does not have access to process refunds. Generally, subscription payments are non-refundable except as required by law.

Price Changes:

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. You will be notified of any price changes in advance, and the new price will apply to your next billing cycle after the change.

User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Adventure Pal
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You may not share your account with others
• You are responsible for all activities under your account
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

User Conduct and Safety

You agree NOT to:

• Provide false or misleading information in your profile
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Spam or solicit other users
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app or user data

Safety Disclaimer:

Adventure Pal connects strangers for outdoor activities. You are solely responsible for your safety and for vetting adventure partners. We recommend:

• Meeting in public places
• Informing emergency contacts of your plans
• Trusting your instincts and leaving if you feel uncomfortable
• Bringing a fully charged phone

Adventure Pal is not responsible for any incidents, injuries, or harm that may occur during adventures arranged through the app.

User Content and Reviews

• You retain ownership of content you post (profile info, reviews)
• By posting content, you grant us a license to display it in the app
• Reviews must be honest and based on actual experiences
• We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your content

Intellectual Property

Adventure Pal and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Adventure Pal and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our app.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• Adventure Pal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee the app will be error-free or uninterrupted
• We are not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages arising from use of the app
• We are not responsible for the actions or conduct of users
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for subscriptions in the last 12 months

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Adventure Pal, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from:

• Your use of the app
• Your violation of these Terms of Use
• Your violation of any rights of another user
• Your conduct during adventures arranged through the app

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms of Use. Upon termination, your right to use the app will cease immediately. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the app shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of Adventure Pal after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Apple In-App Purchase Terms

All purchases are subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). By purchasing a subscription or consumable through Adventure Pal, you agree to Apple's standard EULA terms, which can be found at:
